Crushing is a type of plastic working where pressure is applied by dies to a part of wire to form dents or projections. The formed portion functions to prevent the pin from coming out. The types of crushing include: star-shaped (cross-shaped) crushing, pinching, and flattening. Different shapes can be selected depending on the application.
